About MBTs
MBTs aren't shoes. They are training equipment. When you first get your MBTs you should start gently - only wear them for as long as you feel comfortable. Gradually increase the amount of time you are wearing them, just don't over do it in the beginning!
If you wear MBTs regularly, it can help to relieve the pressure on your back and joints. MBTs can also improve gait and posture - try slouching in them - it's really not easy! And whenever you wear them, even when you are just standing still, you will be exercising lots of muscles, which in turn stimulates your metabolism and helps to burn extra calories.
If you want MBTs because you have a medical condition, and you think they can help, check with your doctor or Physio for advice first. If you want them to help you get stronger and fitter, why wait!?

MBT CARE INSTRUCTIONS
There Can Only Be One True Original Fitness Shoe
Clean soiled MBTs as soon as possible so dirt does not become ingrained.
Clean non-leather styles by hand with a sponge and diluted soapy water up to 30°C / 70°F. Do not wash MBTs in the washing machine! Clean leather styles with suitable leather care products.
Please lay the wet MBTs on their side and allow to dry at room temperature (never close to direct heat) before you use them again. The Masai Sensor, in particular, has to be completely dry.
Avoid contact with aggresive liquids (acids, disinfectants,...) oil, salts, grease, fertilisers, protein or blood and other aggressive substances.
Do not damage the Masai Sensor with sharp objects.

How MBTs Work
There Can Only Be One True Original Fitness Shoe
First Step
Sinking into the Sensor provides a comfortable heel strike and creates the instability that can help the body generate muscle activity in the lower limbs.
Second Step
Rolling over the Balancing Area can help the body improve balance and posture while standing and walking.
Midsole with Balancing Area
The most important part of the PU midsole is the Balancing Area underneath the midfoot which requires an active rolling movement with every step.
Masai Sensor
The soft PU Masai Sensor is the heart of Masai Barefoot Technology. The sensor produces a pleasant feeling, reminiscent of walking on a sandy beach.
Curved sole
The curved sole promotes a gentle rolling into the step.
